Avila - The courses
Grammar: this is the basis of a language and it is necessary for a quick learning process.
Communicative practice: this deals with oral and written comprehension. You will learn to communicate within each socio-linguistic situation. We will teach you the cultural significance of words, because “¡Buenos días!” and “¿qué tal?” both serve as a way of greeting people, but when do you use which?
Conversation and practical exercises as well as written expression: you will learn a language rapidly through speaking. We will give you more security in your Spanish speaking skills.
Lectures and complementary activities: there will be different activities such as lectures, games, films, discussions and so on. These activities are included in the price.
Intensive course
This course consists of five hours of course daily, with lectures and complementary activities on some afternoons. This provides you with a total linguistic immersion in Spanish. The course is for small groups of every level. The average number of students in these groups are 3-4 during the winter and 5-7 during the summer. On the first day you will take a classification test to see on which level you are. The intensive courses start on the first Monday of every month (students with previous knowledge can begin on any Monday). The price of the intensive course includes the study material you need, Diploma of Attendance, lectures, and activities. The form of teaching is very communicative, since the teachers are friendly and pedagogic. Additionally you can choose to participate in the cultural courses.
Individual course
To learn to apprehend Spanish very rapidly, this individual course is perfect. The teacher can focus solely on you and your linguistic needs and can thus place special emphasis on the aspects that cause you problems. There is a possibility to take this course with two or three of your friends. In this case there will be a reduction of the price per person.
Course for groups
There is a reduced price also for schools, universities, colleges, professionals, or groups in general who want to learn to apprehend Spanish under specific conditions. In this case the dates, timetable, content of the course, activities and excursions are specially modelled to the group’s needs. Contact us for more details.
Courses about culture
These courses will expand your knowledge of Spanish. They will be in the afternoon and they are not compulsory. A minimum number of 4 students is required. The courses about culture can deal with different subjects, like for example History Art in Spain, Writing workshops, Spanish civilization, Conversation, Business Spanish, Phonetics, Auditorium, workshop Literature.
Catch-up courses
This is a course created for teachers who want to refresh their Spanish language. The course will deal with current events, like social, economical, cultural, linguistic, and political situations. The course is designed for a group of six or more.
